The Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) at Santa Teresa High School is a leadership development program open to all students in grades 9 through 12. This program develops character, promotes citizenship, and fosters responsibility through a combination of academic instruction, physical training, and hands-on learning experiences.
Cadets will explore subjects like naval history, military customs, first aid, leadership, and maritime science. They’ll also participate in drill, uniform inspections, community service projects, and optional activities such as color guard, marksmanship, academic competitions, and field trips.
Students are not required to incur any military obligation by participating. Instead, they gain confidence, discipline, and valuable life skills that serve them well in any career path they choose. Whether a student plans to join the military, attend college, or enter the workforce, NJROTC provides a strong foundation in leadership, teamwork, and respect.
